What is the difference between a managed print service and copier maintenance contract?

Managed Print Services (MPS) help you optimise your output fleet and manage your devices and as a result you should expect to achieve up to 30% saving on your print related costs. However technology research specialist, Gartner, reports that all kinds of printer sales and service plans are becoming labelled as MPS, and buyers often find it difficult to understand the differences between MPS and traditional copier maintenance contracts.
