DTP Zero Print

One step closer to a sustainable workplace.

DTP, in partnership with HP are committed to creating a lasting change for our planet, people and communities. We continuously champion positive sustainable impact. It’s one of our core values and something we take very seriously.

DTP Zero is our own initiative driving our ambition to reach net zero by the end of 2024, and as part of the project we are excited to have introduced DTP Zero Print. As a technology solution provider, we recognise it is our responsibility to not only champion our own environmental impact but also encourage and support our customers with their sustainability journeys. Therefore, in partnership with HP’s certified carbon neutral Managed Print Service, DTP Zero Print offsets the entire carbon footprint of your printer fleet.

DTP Zero Print impressively covers 100% of your printer fleets’ activities – so for every page printed, every kW of electricity used to turn the printer on, every ink cartridge delivered to you in the post or by courier – we’ll work closely with HP to offset all emissions through investments in rigorously vetted socially conscious projects. This is carried out in cooperation with Natural Capital Partners.

As you read this, there’s a whole forest of trees being planted through the programme by like-minded organisations to your own from across the UK.

What do trees mean to you? A Forest Positive Future

Currently the UK has only 13% tree coverage, but to be net zero by 2050, it needs to get to 19%. Through reforestation projects such as this, HP have planted over 27,000 trees across the UK & Ireland – supporting their aim to be the most sustainable and just technology company. HP’s Forest Positive regeneration of UK woodlands includes planting trees in New Mixed Woodland in Cumbria as well as in New Native Woodland in Scotland.

  • New Native Woodland

One of the locations where we will be planting trees is in New Native Woodland, Talla and Gameshope in Scotland. This is a special project because of the scale of its ambition; to restore a large area of hills and upland valleys to their natural state.

    New Mixed Woodland

We will also be planting trees in New Mixed Woodland in Cumbria. This is an extensive project on Lowther Estate that will create mixed woodland, helping local wildlife by linking existing blocks of estate forestry.

WHY OUR CUSTOMERS CHOOSE DTP

  • We explored options with a number of different manufacturers and partners. Some offered good technology and support but costs were too high. Others were cost effective but lacked sufficient support and product functionality. We needed to find a complementary balance and HP and DTP offered us the full package. DTP have helped us to achieve all of our desired outcomes. We’re eighteen months into a three-year contract and better functionality has already helped us to achieve substantial cost savings. We’ve reduced our paper wastage which means we no longer need to purchase the same quantity. The quality of print has improved and as an IT department, we receive fewer complaints about breakages and paper jams.
