  • DTP Group joins the SME Climate Hub, a global network of small and medium-sized businesses.
  • DTP has signed the SME Climate Commitment which pledges a commitment to reduce our carbon emissions.
  • Another step in DTP Zero, our sustainability project to become carbon neutral by the end of 2025 and net zero by 2035.

A commitment to change

DTP Group has joined the SME Climate Hub, a global network of like-minded businesses seeking to improve themselves, their community, and the planet. The SME Climate Hub is an initiative founded by the International Chamber of Commerce, the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, the We Mean Business coalition and the UNFCCC Race to Zero campaign. The SME Climate Hub also benefits from a partnership with Oxford University’s Net Zero Climate Research and Engagement Team who are providing small and medium-sized businesses with a database of practical tools and resources. Together they aim to support their members to reduce carbon emissions, bring innovative green solutions to market and build business resilience.

In joining the SME Climate Hub, we have also signed the Climate Commitment, which in turn allows us to officially join the United Nation’s Race to Zero campaign. By making this pledge we hope to solidify our dedication to reducing our environmental impact.

The SME Climate Hub provides a one-stop-shop for DTP to commit to climate action and action our initiatives with resources to help; measure our emissions, develop our climate strategy, reduce our own emissions and the emissions in our value chain, and exemplify complementary offset projects.

As part of DTP Zero, we have set an aggressive ambition to be carbon neutral by the end of 2025 and net zero carbon emissions by 2035. Our objective surpasses the parameters set by the SME Climate Hub’s Climate Commitment – to halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030 and achieve net zero emissions before 2050. The goal represents the urgency in which DTP wish to drive ongoing environmental improvements and continue the initiatives that have already been put in place. DTP champion positive sustainable impact – as good citizens, to put people, planet and communities first.

ANOTHER STEP TO NET ZERO

  • Joining the SME Climate Hub is another important step we are taking to support our journey to net zero carbon emissions. Following the pandemic, it’s been important to revaluate our position and set an achievable goal for our business to become net zero by 2035. Being part of the Climate Hub enables us to share our approach with others, whilst also learning and adopting best practices and initiatives with other like-minded SME’s. If we also add into the mix the support we receive from our partners and supplier base, we are confident we can drive ongoing environmental improvements to reach this very important and significant target.
