This month, DTP Group announced a partnership with Cogeco Peer 1, a globally recognised provider of managed cloud hosting, to provide Hybrid IT Services to the HE Sector.
The announcement follows Cogeco Peer 1’s recent partnership with JISC, giving them the ability to provide IT services to higher education institutions on the Janet Network; a highly reliable and secure world-class research and education network, enabling international communication and collaboration. As DTP Group is a leading provider of IT services and solutions within this sector, we are able to take advantage of this partnership, together focusing on helping HE institutions maximise their IT services through Janet-connected cloud, networking and hosting.
Howard Hall, Group Managing Director at DTP said; “We are very impressed by the range of services and the approach that Cogeco Peer 1 is offering the higher education sector, specifically through its partnership with JISC. Through this partnership we will be able to work with our customers to ensure that the advantages of the DTP, Cogeco Peer 1 and JISC offering can be applied to full effect.”
DTP Group’s higher education and research customers can now benefit from the range of infrastructure options available through Cogeco Peer 1, which they can access directly through DTP’s high speed Janet network. This will enable these institutions to meet IT infrastructure demands and utilise both DTP’s and Cogeco Peer 1’s experts.
Susan Bowen, Vice President and General Manager, EMEA at Cogeco Peer 1 said: “DTP has outstanding credentials in higher education and has established itself as a leading provider of IT services to this sector. We look forward to working with DTP and its customers as they take advantage of the partnership between Cogeco Peer 1 and JISC.”
