HP’s latest workplace innovation; a subscription service for your devices


The rise of subscription based pricing models has created a shift in the way that consumers buy products. From mobile phone plans to hire-purchase car agreements, pay-monthly services are undoubtedly a cost effective, manageable way to purchase expensive items. IT providers like DTP Group have successfully delivered Managed Print Services, Cloud-as-a-Service and Backup-as-a-Service for a number of years but until now, devices and accessories have always been sold as commodity items.

The game has just changed with the launch of HP’s Device-as-a-Service

The first of its kind from a tech vendor, the service caters for organisations of all sizes. From small start-ups to large enterprise, HP’s Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) enables IT professionals to manage, monitor and maintain their workplace IT equipment with ease.

One service, one contract
The service is about as flexible as it gets. Customers can pick and choose elements of HP’s offering to bundle into their agreement – the leasing of devices, proactive monitoring, IT support and maintenance or the full managed service.

IT professionals can take a step back with full lifecycle device management

If a desktop nears end of life, HP alerts the customer. If an end user requires a new keyboard, they can select it from a fully branded HP vending machine. If a hard drive error is detected, HP will resolve the issue. If something breaks, HP will fix it. If an organisation needs an additional laptop for a new employee, it can be easily added to their HP contract. The service can even be extended to incorporate managed print services.
