At DTP, we’re dedicated to creating a meaningful impact across economic equality, climate action, inclusivity and wellness.
Through our focused initiatives, DTP is committed to creating a more equitable, sustainable, and thriving future for all. Our mission resonates deeply with our teams, inspires our customers, and positively impacts the communities we serve.
We are guided by four key social value principles.
At DTP, we’re focused on doing our bit to reduce economic inequality, especially here in Leeds. As an SME, we know how important it is to create real opportunities for people from lower-income backgrounds and for young talent starting out.
That’s why we invest in apprenticeships and clear career pathways, giving people the chance to build long-term careers, not just jobs. We also design roles with flexibility in mind, helping those with caring responsibilities – including single parents – balance work and life more easily. We’re conscious of how rising living costs affect our team, particularly those in entry-level roles. By keeping a close eye on these pressures, we aim to support our people through the ongoing cost-of-living challenges.
Ultimately, we want everyone at DTP to feel supported, valued, and able to grow – both at work and beyond.
Tackling climate change is a priority for us at DTP, both in how we run our business and how we support our customers. Through our DTP Zero initiative, we’re working towards becoming carbon neutral by 2035, focusing on cutting emissions across everything from energy use to logistics.
We also work closely with customers and partners to promote more sustainable ways of working, whether that’s lowering supply chain emissions or choosing more energy-efficient products and services.
By tracking our progress and sharing what we learn, we aim to help others on their sustainability journey too. It’s all about making practical changes that contribute to a more sustainable future.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has the chance to succeed, whatever their background. That starts with making our roles accessible – from apprenticeships that open the door to careers in IT and business admin, to flexible working that helps people balance work and life.
We actively support diversity and inclusion, with a focus on improving gender balance in areas that are traditionally male-dominated, including technical, sales, and leadership roles. Through mentoring, training, and development, we’re working to build a more diverse business at every level.
By investing in skills, progression, and ongoing learning, we help our people grow their careers and improve long-term economic mobility. Our goal is simple: a supportive, fair workplace where everyone can develop and move forward.
At DTP, we put health and wellbeing first – for our people, our customers and the wider community. We know that when people feel well and supported, they do their best work.
Our hybrid working approach gives employees the flexibility to work from home up to three days a week, helping reduce stress and support a healthier work-life balance. This is especially important for those with caring responsibilities or other commitments outside of work.
We also take mental health seriously. From mental health first aid training to encouraging open conversations, we aim to create a workplace where people feel comfortable asking for support and know they’re not on their own.
