  • 1. FOSTERING ECONOMIC BALANCE

    At DTP, we are committed to tackling economic inequality, particularly within our local community in Leeds. As an SME, we understand the importance of providing equal opportunities, especially for young people and individuals from lower-income backgrounds.

    We focus on creating pathways for talent from these communities, offering apprenticeships and career development opportunities that provide a clear route to progression. Our aim is to ensure flexibility in our roles, helping groups like single parents manage work-life balance without undue pressure.

    DTP also monitors the impact of rising living costs, particularly utility prices, on lower-income roles and entry-level employees. We strive to support our staff during challenging economic times, especially as we navigate the current cost-of-living crisis.

    Through these initiatives, we aim to promote economic equality and provide our team with the resources and support they need to thrive both personally and professionally.

  • 2. TACKLING CLIMATE CHANGE

    We are deeply committed to fighting climate change through both our internal practices and the solutions we provide to our customers. We have set ambitious targets as part of our DTP Zero initiative, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2035. This includes reducing our direct and indirect carbon emissions across all areas of our business, from energy consumption to logistics.

    Additionally, we collaborate with our customers and partners to encourage sustainable practices, from reducing carbon emissions in the supply chain to providing energy-efficient products and services.

    We are committed to measuring and reporting on our progress, sharing insights and best practices with our customers to help them in their own environmental efforts. By leading with sustainability and creating innovative, green solutions, DTP is working to combat climate change and build a more sustainable future.

  • 3. BUILDING AN EQUITABLE FUTURE

    We believe in fostering an inclusive environment that creates equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of background or circumstance. We are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) through several key initiatives and practices:

    Accessible employment: we recognise that certain groups often face barriers to entering the workforce. To address this, we have implemented apprenticeship programs, offering individuals the chance to build meaningful careers in IT and business administration. We also provide flexible working arrangements to ensure a balanced work-life environment for employees from all walks of life.

    Diversity and inclusion: we have implemented specific initiatives to advance gender equality, particularly in traditionally male-dominated roles such as technical, sales, and management positions. Through mentorship, training, and leadership development, we aim to increase diversity at all levels of the business.

    Support for economic mobility: by creating pathways for career growth and development, we are enabling our employees to achieve economic mobility. This includes providing training and upskilling opportunities, supporting career progression, and encouraging a culture of growth and mentorship within our company.

Our initiatives focus on promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing through a variety of programs and policies:

    Flexible working and work-life balance: our hybrid working policy, which allows employees to work from home for up to three days a week, provides greater flexibility, helping to reduce stress and improve overall work satisfaction. This flexibility also supports employees who may have caregiving responsibilities or other personal commitments.

    Inclusive support for mental health: mental health awareness is a key priority for us and we provide resources and support to ensure our employees feel safe and valued. We offer mental health first aid training to help identify and support employees facing mental health challenges. Additionally, we encourage open discussions about mental health to reduce stigma and create a supportive environment.
