As we continue into week seven of the UK Covid-19 lockdown, and without a clear picture of how long it will be until our customers are back up and running at their various sites, we have put together a few advisories for protecting and maintaining your print equipment whilst in the case of no/low usage of print.
A3/A4 PageWide Printers
Whilst your printers are taking a little downtime, it’s important to follow the below guidance to keep them in tip-top condition so that they’re ready to go again once “normality” resumes.
- To maintain the lifespan and print quality of the product, ensure the device is left turned on
- After the product is initialised, it should not be turned off for longer than three (3) months
- Always shut down the device properly using the Power button. Do not turn the printer off by unplugging the power cord.
- Update the firmware on your printer whenever a new firmware version is available
